These contacts feel great in my eyes. I put them in the minute I wake up and keep them in until I go to bed. So they are great for long wear. My only issue is the are hard to put in. After 20 years of a certain brand, my lenses were discontinued. I tried these on a recommendation by my eye doctor. My old contacts had a very prominent logo on the bottom of the lens so that I knew which way to put them in. These only have a fine line, which is hard to see. It use to take me about 2 seconds to put my lenses in and now takes about a minute and I still don't always get it right. That's the reason for 4 stars & not 5.

Acuvue Advance for astigmatism is Johnson & Johnson's replacement for the Acuvue Toric series of lenses which I used before they were replaced by the Advance series.

After using them for over a year my opinion is the same as the first day I tried them: "I want my Acvue Torics back!"

It's not that these lenses are particularly bad, but they are no better than the Torics in any way, and in several ways they are worse:

They are made of a different material, and are larger in diameter which makes them more difficult to insert and remove. I used to be able to scoot my contact across my eye and it would fold and pop out. Now I have to pinch it against my eye to remove. It's not as easy or comfortable a process. Insertion is trickier too, due to the larger diameter, which makes it harder to get onto your eye without catching an eyelid, etc.

Comfort is good. No better than the Toric, but they are very comfortable, and I can wear them overnight for extended periods without a problem, just as I did with the Torics.

The biggest negative with these lenses; however, is the price: It is **Double** the price of the Acuvue Toric lenses. This is obscured a bit by the trick of selling them in boxes of 6 for the same price that usted to buy 12 Torics.

So; Harder to put in, harder to remove, no more comfortable or longer wearing, and they cost twice as much.

I really miss my Acuvue Torics.

Comments about Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism Contact Lens, 6 ea:

Fast, hassle-free shipping. Johnson & Johnson Acuview are the only soft contacts I have used (transitioned from RGP about 6 years ago). Can't compare with other brands, but they perform as they should.

Comments about Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism Contact Lens, 6 ea:

I can see so well with these contacts. My only complaint is that they must be put in with the little line in the contact at the top of the eye. If you dont have your contacts in it is difficult to see the line. I just wear reading glasses to see the line then take them off and put in the contacts. These also feel a little thicker than regular contacts but the better vision is worth any discomfort, which doesn't last long.
